Accounting Associate
Responsibilities
- Accurately maintain the general ledger for multiple entities
- Perform check writing duties in an accurate and timely manner
- Process urgent checks as they are requested
- Pay invoices on a weekly basis
- Reconcile and pay monthly credit card statements
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Create monthly invoices for clients on QuickBooks
- Receive payments & manage A/R for clients
- Obtain and record accurate vendor W-9s
- Assist with 1099s annually
Qualifications
- Must possess excellent communication skills and exchange information with others accurately.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
- fractions, and decimals.
- Exceptional organization in managing time with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- and meet strict deadlines.
Screening Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required,
- Minimum of two years experience in accounts payable and/or receivable, and bank reconciliation, invoice, and payroll is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Proficient with QuickBooks (at least 1 year of direct experience
