Description

The Payroll Processor compiles, records and reviews employee time and payroll data for Simpayís customers. This role will be responsible for computing and posting wages for time worked, compensation, benefits, production and/or commissions, while providing outstanding customer service to our payroll customers by phone and email.

This position works closely with our tax specialist and maintains strong professional relationships with our Finance and HR teams.

Responsibilities
  • Compile, reconcile, and maintain payroll data including wages, exemptions, loans, garnishments, vacation time, insurance, leaves of absence, nontaxable wages, and 401(k) deductions.
  • Poll electronic time clocks (Swipeclock software) and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Contact various clients for any missed times, compiling some data via telephone for certain clients.
  • Cross check colleague entries to ensure accuracy of records and data.
  • Prepare and input new hire entries by state.
  • Prepare and issue paychecks.
  • Compile internal management reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions from payroll system software.
  • Serve as the Customer Service Representatives to inbound client calls for service and support relating to products. Assist with scanning, inventory, and projects as necessary for both the payroll and accounting departments.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of payroll experience or comparable business work
  • Exposure to payroll, employee management or other financial software for businesses
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills
  • Technical Capacity: Working with MS Office and assorted payroll and payroll tax software.
