Senior Accountant
Description
This individual will be responsible for executing on day-to-day accounting functions ensuring that all tasks related to monthly closing, paying vendors, managing cash for property, corporate, and construction entities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight on the accounts payable and accounts receivable process for all CHP properties, construction, and corporate entities
- Set up new vendors in Yardi
- Review proposed tenant billing and late fee invoices
- Ensure cash balances are updated daily, especially for corporate and construction entities
- Perform monthly closing activities including balance sheet reconciliations
- Record bi-weekly payroll and 401k entries plus monthly HSA entries
- Set up new employees in healthcare systems and cancel terminated employees
- Provide professional communication with tenants, customers, and vendors
- Administrative Fee/Intercompany billing and invoice creation for management fees, maintenance fees, reimbursements, etc.
- Accruals and monthly recurring journal entries
- Setup jobs, enter contracts, and budgets for construction
- Year end tax prep including filing and issuing 1099's
- Monthly credit card review, reconciliation, posting, and payments
- Other accounting duties as needed
Qualifications
The right candidate must have strong people and computer skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, team attitude, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of four years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to self-motivate
- Strong computer skills required
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
- Microsoft Office experience
